Parvaneh Khosravizadeh received her doctorate degree in Linguistics from Tehran University, M.A. in General Linguistics and B.A. in English Translation. She also attended two intensive post-graduate and refresher courses in Germany and South Korea. She is a faculty member of Languages and Linguistics Center at Sharif University of Technology and also offers M.A. and B.A. courses in linguistics at Alzahra University.
Dr. Khosravizadeh is a member of foundation board of Linguistics Society of Iran (LSI), a member of board of directors of LSI, Vice-Dean, spokeswoman and director of public relations of Linguistics Society of Iran.
She is co-operating with the Islamic Encyclopedia Foundation in compiling the entries of Encyclopedia of Muslim World. Due to her research interests, she has participated in many local, national, and international workshops and conferences on linguistics, language learning, and documenting endangered languages. She has written and translated some books, published several articles, and presented a number of lectures in linguistics conferences.
