Parvaneh Khosravizadeh received her doctorate degree in Linguistics from University of Tehran, M.A. in General Linguistics from Azad University, and B.A. in English Translation from Allame Tabatabaie University. She also attended two intensive post-graduate and refresher courses in Germany and South Korea. She is a faculty member of Languages and Linguistics Center at Sharif University of Technology and offers M.A. courses in TEFL and Computational linguistics.

Dr. Khosravizadeh is a member of foundation board of Linguistics Society of Iran (LSI). She was the Associate Director of Research and Graduate Studies of Languages and Linguistics Center at Sharif University of Technology (2009-2011), a member of board of directors of LSI (2001-2011), administrative assistant, spokeswoman and director of public relations of Linguistics Society of Iran (2005-2010).

She is co-operating with the Islamic Encyclopedia Foundation in compiling the entries of Encyclopedia of Muslim World. Due to her research interests, she has participated in many local, national, and international workshops on linguistics, language learning, and documenting endangered languages.
