Faculty Positions in Department of Civil Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran

Applications are invited from Iranian outstanding individuals for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels within the Division of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering, Sharif University of Technology (http://civil.sharif.edu/). The Department seeks applicants with strong background and interest in one of the following areas:

٭ Environmental engineering: water and wastewater treatment; environmental chemistry and biology; and water pollution control.
٭ Hydrology: analysis and modeling; applications of RS and GIS.
٭ Water resources planning and management
٭ Hydraulics: hydraulics of dams and river structures; environmental hydraulics.
٭ Offshore engineering: wave hydrodynamics and sediment transport.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in civil engineering or a related field. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute high quality undergraduate and graduate teaching and effective supervision of graduate students. Sharif University of Technology is a top academic unit in Iran, with a reputation for excellence in research and teaching.
